The investment signals a strategic push to advance MOYOM’s proprietary biomaterial research beyond China. Since its founding in 2018, the company has focused on nanomedical biomaterials, specifically its Aphranel® brand of CaHA biostructurers. These devices utilize a technical combination of ACD-MT® raspberry-shaped microspheres and PCD-ETT® gel technology to provide structural support while encouraging long-term tissue regeneration.
Regulatory momentum has already cleared a path for this expansion. Aphranel® received Class III medical device registration from China’s NMPA in early 2025 and secured EU MDR certification in May 2026. Following a domestic launch that saw the product adopted by over 700 clinics across China, MOYOM plans to use the new funding to accelerate clinical translation and secure further international regulatory approvals. Cathay Capital intends to leverage its global ecosystem to integrate these biomaterial innovations into the broader medical aesthetics market, positioning MOYOM as a science-driven competitor on the global stage.
