The campaign targets groups working on the ground to strengthen community participation and secure access to electoral resources. By connecting dessert sales to social activism, the company frames the initiative as a way to translate retail revenue into tangible political support. Previous iterations of the program have directed funding toward organizations such as Black Voters Matter and Migrant Justice.
Carleen Pickard, the company's Social Mission Director, described grassroots organizing as the most effective defense against the erosion of democratic norms. According to Pickard, the funds directly support activists responsible for voter registration and door-to-door community outreach. The program operates as part of the company's broader mission to leverage its business model for social and racial justice advocacy across the 35 countries where its products are sold.
