Always Best Care Names Jason Shontz as Chief Financial Officer

Shontz arrives at the Rocklin-based company following a tenure as Vice President of Finance at The Joint Corp., where he managed financial planning and capital allocation for a network of nearly 1,000 chiropractic clinics. His background includes senior roles at firms such as CoinFlip, Buildout, and Wyzant, along with foundational experience in transaction advisory at KPMG and Ernst & Young. He holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and maintains his CPA certification in Arizona.

Beyond his professional credentials, Shontz brings a personal perspective to the role, citing his 90-year-old father’s reliance on in-home care as a core motivation. At Always Best Care, he will work alongside President and CEO Jake Brown to refine the company’s financial infrastructure. The objective is to provide franchise owners with the analytical tools necessary for sustainable expansion, ensuring that system-wide growth remains tethered to individual franchisee success as the firm continues its partnership with NexPhase Capital.
