Tom Long to Succeed Graeme Liebelt as Amcor Board Chair

Long, who has served on the Amcor board since 2017, brings extensive executive experience to the position. He previously led MillerCoors, LLC as Chief Executive Officer and held the same role at Miller Brewing Company before its 2008 merger. He currently chairs the board at Wolverine Worldwide, Inc. The leadership change comes as the packaging giant focuses on integrating its acquisition of Berry Global, a move Long cited as a key priority for realizing the company's full potential.

Liebelt’s departure marks the end of a significant era for the Zurich-based firm. CEO Peter Konieczny credited him with guiding the company through a period of extensive transformation and strengthening its global market position. Liebelt expressed confidence in the transition, noting that the board remains well-positioned to continue the company's focus on sustainable innovation and long-term value creation.
