Flynn, which specializes in everything from roofing and glazing to architectural metals, required a system capable of managing its diverse business lines without increasing internal friction. By consolidating CRM and enterprise asset management into one environment, the company expects to enhance data quality and governance. This shift is intended to provide a unified backbone that allows the organization to scale across Canada and the United States without succumbing to the operational complexity typically associated with such rapid growth.
Alan Zych, Vice President of IT at Flynn, noted that the company’s unique mix of construction and manufacturing demanded a platform that could align disparate teams. Beyond standard management tools, Flynn intends to deploy IFS Loops—agentic digital workers—to handle accounts payable through document processing and workflow automation. Matt Breslin, President of IFS Americas, described this approach as a practical application of AI, moving beyond theory to reduce manual effort. The implementation represents a broader shift in the industrial sector, where firms are increasingly prioritizing standardized data foundations as a prerequisite for deploying high-impact automation.
