The fund, which operates under a managed distribution policy established in 2011, aims to provide consistent monthly payments by leveraging long-term capital gains and net investment income. According to the latest data, net investment income accounts for 76% of the September distribution, while the remaining portion is classified as a return of capital. For the fiscal year-to-date, however, return of capital represents 63.06% of total distributions, reflecting the fund's practice of paying out in excess of net income and realized gains.
Management emphasizes that these figures remain estimates. Final tax characteristics for the 2026 calendar year will not be solidified until after the reporting period closes, at which point shareholders will receive Form 1099-DIV. Investors are cautioned against conflating these distributions with standard yield or income, as a return of capital essentially functions as a repayment of invested assets rather than a reflection of performance. Performance metrics for the period ending August 31, 2026, show a year-to-date cumulative total return of 11.28%, set against a cumulative distribution rate of 6.17%.
