The company’s shift is anchored by the acquisition of a 70% stake in SWI Digital, formerly known as Genesis Digital Assets. This move provides the group with 1.2 GW of secured grid connections in the U.S., which management plans to convert from bitcoin mining sites into high-performance computing centers. Combined with the European platform AiOnX, the group oversees a total of 4 GW of power capacity, creating a pipeline for data center development.
To support this expansion, SWI Group secured a partnership within the NVIDIA Partner Network in August. The company is currently recruiting a technical team from firms like Amazon and Intel to build an in-house AI cloud service. This vertical integration—spanning land, power, and GPU compute—aims to capture demand from hyperscale tenants. With non-core assets like hospitality projects now marked for sale, the group intends for digital infrastructure to constitute over 90% of its assets by 2027. Executives are currently negotiating long-term offtake agreements with potential contract values in the tens of billions of dollars.
