Brandywine Valley SPCA Rescues 52 Dogs from Texas Sanctuary

A team of over a dozen staff members, led by CEO Adam Lamb and Dogs Playing for Life founder Aimee Sadler, deployed to the site to assess the animals and establish a temporary shelter. The operation follows mounting public scrutiny of the sanctuary’s conditions. Among the rescued animals, one dog required emergency veterinary intervention after being found severely underweight and barely responsive.

Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore confirmed that his office will continue to monitor the Rockdale property for any evidence of animal abuse or neglect. For the Brandywine Valley SPCA, the mission represents a significant logistical and financial strain, as the organization already manages the care of more than 30,000 animals annually. CEO Adam Lamb emphasized that the survival of this mission depends on public contributions, as the group works to secure medical treatment and long-term placement for the Texas rescue cohort.
