The fungicide offers a distinct advantage for late-season management, as it leaves zero residue and requires no pre-harvest interval. This allows producers to safeguard fruit quality throughout the harvest and into storage without chemical buildup concerns. By stimulating the production of enzymes that degrade pathogen cell walls and promoting antimicrobial phytoalexins, the substance integrates directly into existing integrated pest management programs.
The Fungicide Resistance Action Committee recently assigned Actavan to P Group 11, acknowledging its unique mode of action. Jean Zonato, head of global fungicides at ADAMA, noted that the botanical solution meets increasing demands for sustainable, flexible alternatives to traditional chemical applications. Starting this month, the product is available across both markets to help growers combat disease while meeting strict production standards.
