Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Unfulfilled Plans for a Future with Ken Urker

Months before Ken Urker was discovered dead at his Louisiana residence on his 34th birthday, Gypsy Rose Blanchard spoke openly about her desire for a traditional wedding. Having married her first husband in a prison visitation room, she envisioned a future celebration defined by a formal gown and family presence.

In a May interview, Blanchard contrasted her previous experience with the ceremony she hoped to share with Urker following their reconciliation. She expressed a clear preference for a substantial event, noting that she felt entitled to the milestone after her unconventional start to marriage. The couple, who had previously been engaged years earlier, had recently welcomed their daughter, Aurora, and were navigating a new chapter as parents.

Urker’s death on October 1 remains under investigation by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. According to police reports, Urker was found unresponsive at his home after his half-brother, Dylan Blanchard, and his boss, Justin Daigle, gained entry through a window. The group had been alerted by his failure to answer calls, leading to a 911 call placed by Anita Blanchard. While the autopsy process is underway, authorities have not yet confirmed a cause of death for the 34-year-old.
