The funding round was led by Big Pi Ventures and Mainset, with participation from existing backer Earlybird. This injection of capital follows the company’s €23 million Series A round completed in April 2024. The firm plans to bolster its asset finance products and underwriting infrastructure to support new partnerships with Bolt and Skroutz.
Co-founder Alexander Talkanitsa noted that the scope of embedded lending has shifted significantly from simple cash advances to complex, multi-year financial products. By providing the regulatory and technical rails, finmid allows non-bank platforms to offer credit directly to their business customers. Partner Nick Kalliagkopoulos of Big Pi Ventures highlighted the company’s capital-light structure and its growing footprint in southeast Europe as key factors in the firm's ability to scale across diverse markets.
