xFusion Joins Linux Foundation to Standardize AI Infrastructure

xFusion has joined the Linux Foundation as a Silver member, signaling a strategic push to establish open, vendor-neutral benchmarks for AI computing environments. The move aims to resolve the fragmentation currently hindering the management of heterogeneous AI hardware and software stacks across global enterprise deployments.

The Singapore-based infrastructure provider will funnel its technical expertise into the SODA Foundation, focusing on data and AI-specific projects. By contributing to upstream open source communities, xFusion intends to refine the interoperability of its own FusionOS while fostering industry-wide standards for observability and efficiency. This collaboration centers on the development of Aitra, an open reference platform currently incubating under SODA governance.

Central to this initiative is the xFusion Singapore Open Lab, which serves as a neutral ground for researchers and engineers to test foundation models and hardware performance. Fan RuiQi, CTO of xFusion, emphasized that the industry requires shared methodologies to manage the complexity of modern AI environments, a sentiment echoed by Linux Foundation SVP Michael Dolan. Through this partnership, the company plans to provide standardized frameworks for benchmarking inference performance, addressing the urgent need for consistent operational practices in an increasingly diverse AI landscape.
