Simpson confirmed the cancellation via an Instagram Story, expressing disappointment to her followers while noting that ticket holders would receive refunds within 48 hours. The Ohio disruption follows a similar cancellation on May 30 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, which also halted her limited run of live dates. These recent challenges mirror earlier career hurdles, including a 2004 tour where health issues forced her to scrap appearances in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
Despite these interruptions, the artist remains focused on her return to the stage. She recently shared reflections on her creative journey and the release of her EP, "Nashville Canyon, Pt. 2," emphasizing that her comeback is fueled by long-standing fan loyalty. Having returned to touring after a 15-year hiatus, Simpson maintains that the stage has become a vital space for her personal healing process, even as logistical and environmental obstacles continue to complicate her schedule.
