The tribute, dubbed The Little D-cker, consists of 14 gaseous stars located near Ursa Major. According to the Star Name Registry, the constellation honors the entire ensemble, including Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, and the late Ryan Dunn. The registry deeds, filed on June 9, serve as a final salute to the cast ahead of the June 26 theatrical release of Jackass: Best and Last. Fans can view the formation via a dedicated website established by the production.
This fifth installment arrives as the definitive conclusion to the series. Steve-O confirmed the decision in a recent interview, noting that Knoxville’s health remains the primary factor. Following a severe brain hemorrhage caused by a bull-related stunt during the filming of Jackass Forever, doctors advised against further head trauma. Knoxville, who admitted to being uncharacteristically emotional during production, noted that the final film serves as a repository for extreme, previously unreleased footage spanning the last twenty years. To bridge the gap between the franchise's history and its end, Knoxville and producer Jeff Tremaine also launched a retrospective podcast on June 18, detailing the stunts and injuries that turned the group into a cultural phenomenon.
