The implementation features 85 AutoStore R5 robots operating across 96,000 bin locations, managed by 24 carousel ports. By hosting the entirety of Footasylum’s live SKU range within this grid, THG Fulfil aims to streamline order processing using its in-house warehouse control system. The build process is currently on a three-month fast track, with the first live orders scheduled for September.
Tom Killeen, COO of THG Ingenuity, emphasized that the value lies in the software-led approach rather than just the hardware. By utilizing a Robotics as a Service (RaaS) model, the partnership bypasses heavy initial capital requirements for Footasylum. Hannah Mercer, CEO of Footasylum, described the move as a vital investment to manage growing product complexity and ensure their infrastructure keeps pace with the company's evolving market demands.
