FedEx CEO Raj Subramaniam Honored at 61st Appeal of Conscience Gala

Rabbi Arthur Schneier, the foundation’s founder, presented the award while also receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of work in religious freedom. Schneier praised the FedEx leader for steering the corporation toward a culture of social responsibility that mirrors the foundation's mission of building bridges across faiths. The Appeal of Conscience Foundation, established in 1965, operates as an interfaith coalition that promotes peaceful coexistence and defends the principle that violence in the name of religion is a profound violation of faith.

Subramaniam, a 30-year veteran who assumed the CEO role in 2022, emphasized that his company’s infrastructure serves a purpose beyond logistics. He noted that connecting the world through trade acts as a catalyst for community integration and global unity. The gala, chaired by Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, adds Subramaniam to a legacy of honorees that includes figures such as Henry Kissinger, Mary Barra, and Robert Iger. This recognition follows Subramaniam's 2023 receipt of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, India's highest civilian honor for the diaspora.
