Airties turns home routers into AI-powered security shields

The new capabilities allow internet service providers to deploy a multilayered security shield without requiring subscribers to install additional software or manage complex configurations. By embedding threat detection into the router, the system secures every device on the network, including headless IoT hardware that often lacks native protection. This approach addresses the growing sophistication of AI-driven attacks, which frequently outpace traditional threat databases.

Metin Taskin, CEO and co-founder of Airties, notes that operators have historically relied on fragmented point solutions that lack a holistic view of network traffic. With the platform now spanning over 50 million homes, the company aims to close this visibility gap. The update introduces both mass-market features—such as content filtering and parental controls—and advanced enterprise-grade protections, including network segmentation and client isolation for small business environments. To address future risks, the company is also launching an 'Agentic Shield' designed to harden networks against vulnerabilities emerging from the increasing use of autonomous AI agents.
