The Taiwan Tourism Administration is banking on a robust network of more than 200 weekly round-trip flights connecting 13 North American cities to the island. During the New York launch, Ambassador Chih-Chiang Lee emphasized the country's safety and natural diversity, framing the destination as a reliable choice for both first-time visitors and recurring travelers. The administration’s "Tourism Dual-Wheel Drive Program" specifically targets these repeat guests, who accounted for 42.25% of all arrivals last year—a figure that mirrors pre-pandemic highs from 2019.
Marketing Manager Claire Hsu introduced the "Taiwan never sleep" concept, focusing on the country’s 24-hour convenience and accessibility. To convert interest into bookings, the TTA is promoting its International Repeat Visitor Bonus and Transit Travel Incentive programs. The workshops, which include cultural showcases from Taiwanese opera performers and local tea experts, are designed to move beyond traditional brochures by offering an immersive look at the island's lifestyle to local industry representatives.
