China-SCO Digital Platform Hits Milestone After Year One

The pilot zone in Tianjin has emerged as the project’s primary engine, integrating 150,000 accelerator cards into a heterogeneous computing pool that supports over 700 ecosystem partners. This technical foundation has yielded tangible economic results, evidenced by a 14 percent year-on-year increase in trade between the pilot zone and SCO member states throughout 2025.

Practical applications are diversifying through a new commercial satellite data alliance, which provides environmental monitoring and disaster warning services. Simultaneously, academic institutions including Tianjin University have leveraged AI to digitize traditional medicine through the Qihuang Medical Hall. To sustain this trajectory, an alliance of 28 think tanks now guides the platform’s strategy, while the recent unveiling of the “Hehe” AI dialogue agent—capable of supporting over 100 languages—signals a push for deeper linguistic and commercial integration among member nations.
