The strategy centers on managing complex patient needs by integrating pharmacy benefits, specialty care, and clinical insights. According to CEO Brian Evanko, the company aims to move beyond traditional health management by using a "health intelligence engine" to anticipate care requirements before high-cost events occur. This approach is designed to improve both affordability and patient outcomes across the company’s diverse customer base.
To support these objectives, Cigna is launching a $3 billion modernization project focused on streamlining workflows and deploying new AI tools. This initiative coincides with a $10.5 million, three-year grant program from The Cigna Group Foundation, which seeks to address non-clinical barriers to treatment, such as care navigation and mental health support. Financially, the company reaffirmed its 2026 outlook, projecting consolidated adjusted revenues of approximately $280 billion and an adjusted EPS of at least $30.45. Looking further ahead, management set a long-term growth target of 10-14% adjusted EPS CAGR through 2030, supported by disciplined capital stewardship and a focus on high-growth health segments.
