Broadcast from Hatfield Media’s studios, the event marked the organization’s 25th anniversary by delivering one-hour sessions across six continents. The curriculum spanned foundational device usage to complex AI tools, involving a diverse roster of international partners ranging from the LBJ Presidential Library to the Angaza Center in Kenya. By leveraging collaborations with AT&T, Amazon, and Netflix, the nonprofit aimed to move beyond basic connectivity issues to address the functional skills necessary for modern life.
Beyond the record, Guinness World Records designated the broadcast as Kentucky’s first-ever Record of Good, an honor reserved for initiatives that create measurable social impact. Tom Ferree, CEO of Connected Nation, noted that the achievement serves as a milestone in the group's mission to ensure that broadband access translates into tangible personal and professional growth. To maintain the project's utility, all sessions have been archived and remain available to the public for free, ensuring the training continues to reach those navigating the complexities of an increasingly digital world.
