Law enforcement officials were called to the scene at approximately 6:15 p.m. last Thursday. Captain Brennan Matherne of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that while an active investigation is underway, detectives have found no immediate evidence of foul play. Gypsy Rose Blanchard has publicly suggested the possibility of an overdose, citing an unidentified substance found at the scene, though she noted Urker had no known history of drug use. This theory remains unconfirmed by official reports.
The days leading up to his death have been scrutinized, particularly a TikTok livestream Urker broadcast on Wednesday night. In the footage, he appeared to be traveling while exposed to strong winds, remaining silent throughout the recording. This video serves as one of the last public glimpses of him before his passing. Tensions have since escalated between his family and Blanchard; Urker’s sister, Autumn, publicly accused Blanchard of leaking details of his death to the media and claimed the couple had already separated prior to the incident.
Beyond the public spotlight of the docuseries "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up," Urker maintained a relatively private existence. He had recently shared with his followers that he was working as a bartender, a rare detail about his life outside of his high-profile relationship. As investigators work to determine the cause of death, the lack of definitive findings has left the circumstances of his final hours unresolved.
