Klitschko intends to cover the 2025 state and federal income tax liability to bypass interest and penalties that would otherwise accrue against the estate. He plans to seek full reimbursement once the estate is formally established. This preemptive payment is part of a broader legal effort to gain official standing, as Panettiere died without a will, leaving their daughter as the sole beneficiary.
Beyond tax liabilities, Klitschko has raised alarm regarding the security of Panettiere’s personal property. He alleges that an unauthorized individual has already pawned items from her jewelry collection. He currently faces hurdles in initiating a formal law enforcement investigation into the missing valuables, as he lacks the court-appointed authority to act on behalf of his daughter. Panettiere died in August from the toxic effects of multiple substances, and these legal maneuvers are intended to prevent further loss of assets while the estate is settled.
