Whole Foods Market has opened its sixth and final new UK location at 57 Victoria Street, marking the end of a rapid growth phase for the US-based grocer in London. The 7,062-square-foot site brings the retailer’s specialized fresh produce and prepared food offerings to the heart of the historic St. James neighborhood.
The new store, which features a dedicated venue serving hot Pinsa, operates daily with extended hours to accommodate both local residents and the significant tourist foot traffic in the area. Delivery services via Deliveroo are scheduled to commence shortly following the launch. Melanie Auriac, Store Team Leader at St. James Park, noted that the site emphasizes the company’s focus on integrating into the neighborhood’s character, offering a mix of grocery essentials and ready-to-go meal options. This opening concludes a strategic expansion plan announced by the retailer earlier this year. While the company continues to refine its physical footprint, the broader retail sector remains under scrutiny for its ability to balance digital convenience with brick-and-mortar experiences, a trend that will take center stage at the upcoming 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards held this November at The HAC.
