Five senior living professionals stood on stage in Clearwater, Florida, this week to accept the 2025 Brookdale Excellence Awards. Selected from a vast network of 539 communities, these leaders were honored for their performance in clinical services, dining, and operations, representing the highest standards of the nation’s largest senior care provider.
CEO Nick Stengle praised the honorees for embodying the company's commitment to servant leadership and resident care during the June 10 ceremony. The selection process involved a competitive review of performance metrics and leadership impact across Brookdale's six operational regions.The top-performing leaders recognized for 2025 include:
- Elena Whitemarsh, Vice President of Operations (Mountain West) - Christina Rocha, District Director of Operations (Southwest) - Jessica Arenholz, Executive Director (Brookdale Overland Park 119th, Kansas) - Ken Patrick Padilla, Health and Wellness Director (Brookdale Monrovia, California) - Zachary Willy, Dining Leader (Brookdale University Park, Colorado)
Beyond these operational roles, the organization also inducted seven sales professionals into its Chairman’s Club Elite: Dana Segal, Denita Hicks, Joseph Zampko, Lauren Mastriano, Sabrina Badree, Susan Samples, and Veronica Latas. These awards highlight the company's ongoing strategy to focus on specialized care and hospitality as it manages over 43,000 units across 41 states.
