Luxel Corporation Taps KOS, Inc. to Lead South Korean Expansion

Friday Harbor-based Luxel Corporation has named KOS, Inc. as its exclusive distributor for South Korea, a strategic shift intended to tighten the company's regional grip. The agreement, effective immediately, grants KOS full authority over local commercial operations, logistics, and sales for Luxel’s specialized optical bandpass filter technology.

This partnership targets the growing demand for Luxel’s ultrathin polymer and metallized filters, components critical to EUV lithography, fusion energy research, and space exploration. By offloading regional customer relations to KOS, Luxel aims to slash response times and provide the high-touch local support that international clients in the scientific instrumentation sector often demand.

KOS, Inc., based in Hanam City, brings two decades of experience in optical systems and lab supplies to the table. According to KOS President DaeHee Choi, the firm will leverage its existing infrastructure—which currently supports advanced microscopy and light measurement technologies—to integrate Luxel’s precision engineering into the South Korean market. Luxel President Adrian Polliack noted that the alignment of KOS’s local market presence with Luxel’s technical expertise represents a vital step in scaling their international footprint.
