Kelly announced his new role on LinkedIn, noting his intention to reconnect with depot and hub teams across the country. His appointment comes as Evri accelerates its physical infrastructure strategy, underpinned by a 50 million pound investment aimed at doubling its locker and ParcelShop estate by 2030. The company has commissioned at least 1,000 units from technology partner Bloq.it to support this growth.
This expansion includes a significant partnership with Motor Fuel Group to install 500 lockers at petrol stations, alongside a trial of branded lockers at select Tesco Extra and Superstore locations. These sites offer contact-free parcel services, including QR code access and print-at-locker functionality. Liam Rogan, head of the network at Evri, stated that these collaborations are designed to integrate delivery services into consumer routines, such as grocery shopping or refueling, following data that highlights the rising demand for flexible, convenient parcel management.
