Laird Superfood Appoints Mark Johnson as CFO

Laird Superfood has tapped veteran financial executive Mark Johnson to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer, signaling a strategic push toward sustainable, profitable growth. Johnson joins the health-focused brand after a high-level finance tenure at Tropicana Brands Group, bringing over 25 years of experience in consumer packaged goods.

Johnson’s appointment comes as Laird Superfood looks to integrate recent acquisitions and refine its operational discipline. CEO Jason Vieth noted that the company requires the specific brand-scaling expertise Johnson developed during his career, which includes roles at Champion Petfoods, Danone/WhiteWave Foods, and The Pepsi Bottling Group. Previously, Johnson served as Vice President of Finance for North America at Tropicana Brands Group.

Reflecting on his move to the company, Johnson emphasized the potential for scaling the brand’s existing platform. He stated that his primary focus will be translating the company's current market momentum into durable financial performance as it navigates its next phase of development.
