Warehouse robotics startup Destro AI secures $8 million seed funding

Destro AI is positioning itself to solve the friction between successful pilot programs and actual warehouse deployment. The company has developed two primary systems: MothershipOS, which acts as a centralized orchestrator for robot task management, and VisionOS, an on-robot intelligence layer trained on human demonstrations to improve mobile manipulation and object interaction.

Founder and CEO Manthan Pawar argues that the future of the industry lies not in hardware manufacturing, but in the software layer that enables heterogeneous fleets to function as a cohesive unit. According to Base10 Partners managing partner Adeyemi Ajao, Destro has differentiated itself by successfully moving from pilot phases to active production environments with major logistics operators, outperforming competitors with significantly higher capitalization. The company plans to use the new funds to broaden its reach within the logistics sector, moving beyond the prototype stage to address the complex operational demands of large-scale supply chains.
