Jennifer Aydin Says Milania Giudice Stayed With Friend at Hospital

Aydin said Milania remained beside Zardoya after the 20-year-old suffered a fatal injury. Organ donation meant Zardoya stayed in hospital while arrangements were made to retrieve her organs, Aydin explained. A separate source told the Daily Mail that Milania was there “every single day around the clock.” Aydin described the experience as a lot for a young adult to handle.

Zardoya died on July 26, two days after sustaining a catastrophic brain injury in a fall down steps while exploring the historic Fort Dade ruins on Florida’s Egmont Key. An autopsy released November 3 ruled her death an accident caused by craniocerebral trauma, or traumatic brain injury. At a celebration of life in New Jersey in mid-August, guests were asked to wear “florals or happy colors” rather than black, Aydin said. Milania later described the summer as having “hit me like a bus.”

Aydin said Milania is now “living” and taking things day by day, while Teresa is asking for prayers. She said the families are home and working through the loss. Teresa has been spending time with Milania, including missing her longtime friend Dolores Catania’s son Frankie Catania Jr.’s October 30 vow renewal. Catania said on the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast that Teresa and Milania were spending a lot of time together. Aydin said she respects their wish for privacy and added that Teresa puts her children first.

Milania spoke publicly about her mental health in an October 12 social media video, saying she was receiving treatment at a treatment center. She said she has bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD. The disclosure followed a September mental health crisis and hospitalization in Florida; details of her current treatment schedule have not been shared. Teresa posted photos with Milania at a New Jersey yoga studio on October 29 and later shared that they had attended a private dance class with friends.
