Scaling e-commerce on European marketplaces requires thousands of daily adjustments to pricing and promotions, a task that often overwhelms human teams. Merchantee, an agentic intelligence startup, has raised €1.8 million to automate these processes and level the playing field for brands competing against retail giants.
The pre-seed funding round, led by Reflex Capital with participation from Czech Founders VC and Lighthouse Ventures, will fuel the company’s expansion from its base in Poland to the Netherlands. Merchantee’s platform functions as an autonomous expert, managing complex sales loops for major brands including Philips, Lindt, SodaStream, and Vilgain.Founder and CEO Jakub Vraspír, who previously helped launch the Mall.cz marketplace, built the platform to address the operational bottlenecks that prevent mid-sized sellers from competing with industry leaders. According to Ondřej Fryc, managing partner at Reflex Capital, the startup’s infrastructure provides a level of operational depth rarely seen in new ventures. By integrating directly with European marketplace ecosystems, Merchantee automates the decision-making process for campaigns and pricing, aiming to sustain profitability while aggressively scaling its regional footprint.
